That was the day my life changed forever. I’m sure you’ve read those words before or heard someone say them. I remember such a day. It was early spring and I was walking through a local discount store. I don’t remember why I was there but as I walked I noticed a woman and a young child at the book department. Just as I saw them they turned and walked toward me on their way to the checkout. As they drew near I saw a book in the arms of the child. I could not read the title but I could see the name of Jesus printed on it. Just as they were passing me another person turned and bumped into the child and caused the book to fall to the floor. Quickly I reached down and retrieved it and as I handed it back I asked the child to tell me about Jesus. A great smile came to the young face and then the knowledge of Jesus began to pour forth. The words which streamed from this child were words I had heard before but it was not the words I took note of but rather the eyes of this child. They were filled with faith and belief and there were no doubts in them at all and then suddenly I realized what was missing from my own life and why I did not seem to feel like I had truly reached Jesus. This child had the answer and as the words of Jesus came to me, “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein” , I finally understood that a little child has no doubts. I could not doubt God and expect Him to hear me.

What a WONDERFUL experience, Given! Yes, I have had my questions and doubts, but I know where they come from, and I know that God is VERY real and is NOT the author of those doubts. 52 years ago, I asked Jesus to come into my life at the age of 7.

The devil has tried and tried to make me question and doubt...but then even when I have, God has always broken through and won the victory with His Great Love And Presence! Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine. And I am His!

I too remember when I was that age..... I was watching a tv-program about faith for children and they said I could ask Jesus to come into my heart...... when I laid on my bed later I couldn't sleep because of that message....... but after I finally did ask Him to come into my heart, I felt peaceful and fell asleep....... I will never again forget that moment..... first so scared and then so peaceful..... what an awesome God He is! 10amen

The story is told of a man who distrusted and even disliked the idea of flying .He was away from home when an emergency came up . He needed to be home an hour ago . Finally his friends and co-workers convinced him to get on a plane .

When finally he arrived at his destination his son greeted him , "Dad" , he said , " now that flight was not bad at all was it "...His dad looked at him and said , "well son , you know I never did put my whole weight down "

Is this how we sometimes are with our relationship with Christ ? Fine for emergencies and maybe a fire escape , but do we always trust Him enough to ... "put our whole weight down " To be sure ..to KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are in His hands and that He loves and cares for each of us as if we were an only child .
When we have this confidence , we then have THE peace that passes all understanding .

Phil:4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:
28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36: As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So take your seat or your stand , put your whole weight down and go forth with confidence and trust these promises , knowing the One who has promised .

Allelujah !!
What a mighty God we serve ...

I'm sure no christian every intends to doubt God, or His power.
However, I remember when the Lord showed me how to pray past
a problem (I was a first semester Bible college student at the time)
and then, several years later, when I was supposed to be installed
as pastor of a Deaf fellowship, I'd re-pioneered, I didn't do what He'd
shown me to do in 1981.

I am, however, happy to have had both those experiences, because I
learned from them. In 1999, when I awakened from a month-long coma,
Helen was worried that we would lose the house becauses she'd sat at
the hospital for the entire month and not worked, meaning she didn't know
how or where the money to pay the note would come from.
Having had experience with being rejected by an eartly provider
(my mom), when I went to college and knowing that God is my
Great Provider, I told Helen I would stake my salvation on it...
We will not lose the house.
Well, it's now 2008 and we're still here...Why? I think it's because
I learned a lesson and remembered it, 19 years later.

These kind of things get my spirit jumping up and down...
singing, "....Our God reigns!!!"
