I hope it's all right for me to go ahead and begin this.....if not, just delete it.
About two years ago, as I was sitting in the local Waffle House, an older man, who told me he'd retired and moved here from New York, sat beside me.
As he began his meal, he bowed his head and prayed. When he began to eat, I asked if he were a Christian and his reply was, "I'm Jehovah's Witness."
Over the next several months, I'd speak to this man, when I'd see him. He told me why they go door to door and, also, why they don't vote or involve themselves in politics.
What always stuck out, in my mind, is the fact that if half the christians did as much for the Kingdom of Heaven as these people do, for the Kingdom Hall, we'd have the world won for Christ in no time.
The only problem, I recall, is when he told me he was going to the doctor for some tests and I mentioned that I'd heard the Jehovah's Witnesses don't go to doctors.
He replied, "They don't....I do." That gave me hope of being able to, someday chip away at other beliefs he had that don't stack up against the Word.
However, I've only seen him three times in the past six or seven months.
