We that are A born again believer have A covenant with God, but as any promise or provission to A covenant, there are are things we must do to approriate and activate its blessings. there are contractual
obligations we have to fulfill in order to have the promises and of the covenant. there are certain conditions we are rquired for these things to be active in our lives. It's like any other contract between any two individual: each person must do certain things to fulfill the contract.

For instance, Romans10; 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

But what does it say? The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. But what does it say? Our covenant with God is the same way.God tells us in the new covenant, or contract, what you must do. here are some contractual obligations you must follow:

James; 4; 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

Luke:6; 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Mark: 9; 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ONE-SIDED COVENANT, OR CONTRACT WITH GOD.
A covenant is never one-sided with God, with Him doing every thing for us and us doing nothing for Him. We do our part and He will do His.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ONE-SIDED COVENANT,OR CONTRACT WITH GOD.
A covenant is never one-sided with God, with Him doing every thing for us and us doing nothing for Him. We do our part and He will do His part.

This A very important aspect of our covenant with God that you must understand. God is waiting on us to make the first move and .meet the contractual obligations in our covenant for our needs, and blessings. this is true regarding our salvation: you have to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth. it is also true your healing: you have to recieve healing by faith in God and in His Word. This is true in all aspects of your covenant. you have to activate the covenant of blessings in your life by speaking Gods word over your need, just as we do in salvation [confess with your mouth] and believe in your [heart, or in your spirit.] and you must recieve it from
God by faith. we canot please God with God by faith.

WHAT DID JESUS DO FOR US?
Many people don't have a clue. when we talk about Jesus redeemingus from poverty and purchasing for us a life of abundance, they really don't understand what this means.

It does not mean that the blessings of God are going to be automaticin our lives. you have to do something, not to earn them but to activate them.
Jesus paid for our right to turn to God, but we have to walk the path. It doesn't just come to us automatically.
God has already forgiven every one their trespasses and sins. now we might know the vilest of sinners, thinking them to be the worst reprobates, but God is not holding any thing against them.Yet they could die in their sin and go straight to hell. WHY? dosen't God love them? yes He does. Didn't He redeem them and forgive them? yes He did. But [THERE IS SOMETHING THEY HAVE TO DO,] all must appropriate the redemption that was purchased for them by Jesus.
Mom,

If you are to place a Bible study, let me suggest a format that is a bit easier to follow.

What did I learn of God? – Beginning statement of what you learned.

What did I learn of Myself? – What it showed you about yourself. Personal Testamony

What did I praise God for? – God always deserves our praise now don't He?

What did I pray for? – What did the study lead me to pray for.

What does this say in one sentence? – Summary!!!

Love ya mom...
Timmy, don't be too hard on your Mama. I can appreciate your wanting to give her a bit of help here, but what she said is overall so true. I do appreciate her knowledge of and quoting of scripture.

I appreciate very much your suggestions, though, and will TRY to make good use of it myself. Sorry, but I just can't seem to help getting too wordy....Please love me anyway. OK???
No no sis, just trying to help her have a more brief subject that all can participate in sis.... If we make our beginning post more breif and to the point it opens the door for others to discuss the subject...
