Everybody, who is Deaf, gets a lot of conversation, involving sports. I, for one, really enjoy these conversations and scan the sports pages, regularly, so I'll have information, at hand, when the time comes.

Recently, I've been reading that professional baseball pitcher, Tom Glavine, wants to return to the Braves, whom he left, when he moved to the NYMets. He'd like to end his career, where it began.

Some people want him back, they say he'll be a good fit to the Braves' pitching staff, and others think his best days are gone.

I won't get into that....I'll use it to begin a thought....

SHOULD HE RETURN?

Now, allow me, if you will, to continue with the, above, thought.

While people look at a professional athlete's moving from one place to another, with great interest, many of them are either unaware of, or don't care that Another is coming, Whose arrival will make a bigger impression on the world than any million-dollar, fly-by-night, athlete ever could accomplish.
In John the Baptist mentioned "..One stands among you, Whom you do not know," and, even today, with the Lamb's Holy Spirit being here, many still don't know Him.

So I am led to wonder if His return would be ignored, the same as the return of an athlete to a team he'd once played for and who became unpopular, when he moved away.
Or, is it possible that, like the Jewish people, themselves, many will be shocked to see the One, Whom they have refused to believe in, coming in the clouds? Or, possibly, would we just wish we could go back and re-live some of the times, when we were too busy to serve Him?

Jesus said the time of His death hadn't come. That was prior to His crucifixion, death burial and resurrection. Now, the time of His return, also, hasn't come and I hope we will, one and all, take every opportunity, afforded us, to bring in every possible lamb, before the time of the Great Harvest.
