Good Evening,
Regarding the Manual Architectural Drafting Course, can you please let me know when the lessons under construction are scheduled for completion. I would like to enroll, and would like a time frame for completion of all lessons. Thanks very much...
There have been some delays because of my pastorate and chaplaincy. If I can just sit down for about 1 week undisturbed, they would be complete. I'll try to keep everybody posted. Have you already taken the first lesson?
Hello,
Thank you for the reply. Sorry it took so long to respond, but I have been busy the past couple of days. I have viewed the Lesson 1, and am in the process of getting together all of the tools needed. As soon as I get my manual tools gathered, I will take the first lesson. Thank you again. I hope to start soon!

I believe you will enjoy drawing the old fashioned way. In my opinion, the best architectual drafter is one who is proficient in both the board and the CAD.
I have been toying with a very simple CAD program, Google Sketchup. While limited, it is fairly easy to use, but my main goal is to do it the old-fashioned way! I had two years of mechanical drafting in high school, and wish to expound on what I have already learned and practiced. I have also produced patent drawings for clients. My architectural work is limited, and your course will surely give me the necessary basics of the discipline. Thanks again,

It (Google SketchUp) seems like a dandy 3D sketching program but you are right in that it is limited. Especially in precise controls. I downloaded it at http://sketchup.google.com/download/ and played with it for a bit. It may have some practicle use in my mechanical drafting class however as an illistration tool.
And you are welcome Mike.
