It sure sounds like it to me. And experience seems to bear this out. If you have 10 people discussing something you will have at least 15 different opinions. But just because we don't agree on some things doesn't mean we have to be disagreeable.

Yes, I agree. Now ain't that something! It's our Bridgroom who keeps "grooming" us until we, His Body, His Bride, are complete and in unity. It's only in His power that we come to be in the image of Christ, our Bridegroom. You know, I've heard it said that married folks end up looking like each other. HMMM! Looking like my Creator? It sounds awesome, but I have a lot of growth to do there! I only wish that the Body were at the kind of unity that this verse describes. Pray, Brothers and Sisters, pray!

His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church), Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

Did the Holy Spirit perceive that we wouldn't agree entirely until we (The Church) were completed (a perfect man)?
Ephesians4;11-12 tells you how to perfected the Saints. not through tribulations. we are to be perfected by the Word of God, through the ministry. If it were trials and tribulations, We would all be spiritual giants.

This is how I see this, that opinions don't create Spiritial growth. But by renewing our minds daily by the Word of God. Our spirit is made in to His Image now.it will be A wonderful time when we see Him face to face. Rather, let our lives lovingly [express truth] [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him who is the Head, even Christ the Messiah, The Anointed One.

For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

I agree we still need these offices Parson.
Many believe they have no need for these offices and walk in the imaginations of their own hearts, We need one another and be our brothers keeper, we need to know those who labor faithfully in word and doctrine among us.
Like Parsonmom said let Torah be our foundation, not are opinions. Only then will our contriditions (diss-unity, I may have coined a new word LOL) be resolved in the renewed covenant scriptures.

The Holy Spirit isn't a Respecter of persons. I think that means He willchoose, as He will.
And, think of it, this way. Suppose the prophet (modern day prophecy is simply speaking the
Word) isn't there, on a given Sunday morning.
Does that mean the Spirit will be forced to wait? NO!! He will annoint another spirit filled
person to do the job. Personally, I've been used in more than my stronger gifts, which seem
to be evangelism and healing, because nobody else was ready to do what needed to be done.

We're gonna have "a new body, praise the Lord..." and, until then, we'll have to make do with
what we have.

Good morning Ditto,I'm so glad to hear this.If People would speak up more in the word,they would learn faster,
when they are alone, or with someone that is in agreement, to read out loud to each other,that will give more
understanding to you because your spiritman will hear and respond ,the Holy Spirit dewells with in you,He is the teacher.

'Mom....I would put it like this, the Scriptures say that He is not
a respecter of persons....BUT, I also see that, although I am not
in a pastoral ministry, things have happened that have allowed me
to see that He is using me.

For example, when I began bible school (in August, 1981), I wondered if I would
ever have a testimony, like so many others have.
Then, a few weeks later, He showed me that I do, indeed, have a testimony....Not
of coming out of the world, not of having gone out and raised the dead or any of the
things the "big-name" ministers always speak of, but how many of them can lay claim
to the fact that, without the power of prayer, you can put ME in MY grave?

And, of course, it's all to the glory of the One Risen King!!! Others may not believe, but
they cannot tell me why ever doctor, who has seen me, for 36+ years, is scratching his
head, wondering how this can be.

Not only that, but He also allowed me to learn to play the drums, which isn't something
a totally Deaf person (as I am) is supposed to be able to do!!!

Yes, you're right....He will choose those, He desires, to place into whatever capacity, He
wants us in. Then, He allows us to glorify Him, in doing what He's annointed us to do.

Also, the Spirit isn't bound, in the same way, we are, when we're unable to be in worship.
Meaning, He'll have another do His task.

you never have to compete with others. So many people fail because they have never learned to trust the Word of God completely.
Not understanding that His Word is His will.When we as the Body of Christ must do what the Word says to do, there is unity.but if we
place the but's and if's into the word, then we leave ourselves and others with the insecurity that leaves us double minded as in James.

Mystery, I don't know whether I can express the greatfulness for your post to me, and the timing also.I have been under attack,
also. I have found out that satan isn't after us personally, but The Word of God, that we speak in faith, it takes me A long time for
me to post, because any word that I don't know for a fact, I search it out before it is used. YOU AND GRACIE HAVE INSPIRED ME,

Mystery,Gracie,Tim,and all that encouraged me to go on. 27 years ago at the pits of hell, I was tormented night and day.I wanted to be free, and there was'nt any one that I could find that could help me. We were leaving on A trip. we wholesaled to stores, florist, etc. my mom called me into her bedroom, I will never forget how
much I was hurting her. I could see the agony in her face. Tears were streaming down her face, and believe what I am saying, I carried that vision for one year. She said honey I have prayed for you, but my prayers have not been answered, so I have told God I could not pray any more for you, and am turning it all over to Him.

"She handed me her new testament,it was so old and worn and tear stained'.and to keep this bible before before you day and night.and He did. one year had gone by and I still had that bible in my face.I could not look at it.I would find it laying on top in plain sight, I thought I was going mad.I accused my husband of doing this. He would just smile and say I have no idea what is going on.as we came into the little town of Benton, Don pulled over and started to turn around,he said did you see that wallet, he got out and picked it up, and guess what, it was another bible. He gave it to me and said, see if you can find a name. I started looking, I wouldn't read the bible, but I think every promise that is in the bible was written in the margins of each page. Three days later I was delivered out of all of this mess.

Six months later I became very ill, we were coming back from the beach, we stayed there three days, I was so sick, Don took me to the emergency room, I had leukemia. the kind that kills in five days. I was taken to a room and given an I V, I was a little stronger so I begin to talk to God.My statement to Him was I want to live and not die,I want to raise my little girl. no one will give her the moral standards I will.at this statement THE HOLY SPIRIT,came on me,I saw Him. I don't
remember but one thing of the three days that I was there.I woke up three days later, was ready to go three days back. the Doctor came in and this is what he said:

Young lady, there was nothing that I or medical knowledge could do so I'm recording this as A miraculous miracle. Since that time I have been so hungry for the Word of God. so when Tim opened this forum, it gave the opportunity to give back to God what He has blessed me with. So whatever the Word says, I believe it. And when God Blesses us,it is our turn to give back to him.being a good Stewart is very important to our well being.
I thank you for the precious sweet love you have shown me. I also sense that our little lady Carolsue is very special, I believe her to be hungry for the Word. God's Blessings Be unto you,As Your Soul Prospers In the Word.
