You know, it's always been like the world is now, not only expecting
us to accept whatever sinful lifestyle, they live in, but also to be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.
One of my earliest problems, in the secular labor world, was when two men approached me and asked I went to church, every Sunday.
I'll tell you, I, immediately, felt the enemy saying to me, "Say you don't...you want them to be your friends," but I shrugged him off.
"Sure, I go, every Sunday...and, praise God, I go on Wednesdays, too!!" was my response.
It didn't help me, either, because, from that moment, until they succeeded in getting me fired (for trumped up accusations), I was the mark, the department enemy.
The thing is, I consider it a joyful experience, to serve the Lord in persecution. Because He allowed me to pray for my persecutors and even, at times, say things to them, when they would ask me questions.
As I look back, however, I see that life could have been much easier for me, had I rejected the One, Whom I served, which is what some Christians may have done.
No lilly-livered christian is ever going to be persecuted, only those of us, who stand firm in the faith. The lukewarm will never know the joy of sharing His feelings, as He was led to the cross. They will just be "so-called christians," if you ask me.
Okay...I'm not perfect, I've broken laws. I mean, when I was out in a shopping center, with a group of kids, passing out tracts, I went into a PayLess Shoe Source store and began putting tracts in the shoeboxes, which was, by all understanding, illegal.
However, the kids, who were standing outside the store, were encouraged that I would go against the grain, to serve Him.
It's my hope that everyone of His people, will begin to find times to do things, against the grain, for His glory, to uplift Him and to see HIm draw all men, unto Himself.
