Never seems to fail that when I study God's Word daily, daily He gives me what I need. Let me share what God gave me today...

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Thank you Tim - that scripture is just what I needed to help me with some of my faith struggles that I am going thru. God is so good!!

Great verses, Timmy! How so true! Our pastor has been preaching a series of sermons partly based on the hymn "Amazing Grace". Today he preached on the phrase "that saved a wretch like me". He read from Romans 3, where we are told that no one is without sin, that no one seeks after God, etc. But, with God's amazing grace, His unmerited and undeserved love toward us, we can, though faith, be right with Him, receive eternal life, through Jesus Christ.

That goes so beautifully with the Scriptures you just shared here: that salvation and justification are readily available to us through faith, and that right relationship with God that follows brings peace, even in the midst of great tribulation, becuase tribulations build character and hope. I love Romans! Paul did a masterful job of presenting in no uncertain terms where we are and can be with God!

In His Amazing Grace,
Gracey!
Tim ,
I love and find much comfort in these verses . Being justified..just-as-if-I 'd never sinned . And the peace ..Peace cannot be purchased with money and peace with God is awesome ..purchased for us by Christ Jesus ..Allelujah!!
Mystery
Tim, this is A wonderful Scripture.

Tim, this is such wonderful Scriptures,

THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor, or His willingness to participate in our lives) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.
Such hope never disappoint or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

Tribulation,n. suffering caused by adversity.[an instance of this] a cause of such suffering or distress. [o.f.] Webster.
suffer as in Matthew 8:21 (King James Version] this means let,or allow.

21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

# Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Well praise God that the scripture was food for ya ladies. 10amen
Here's a non-lady, who got something else out of that one.

You see, with all the non-christians, I run into, day in and day out, it's always a joy to open the Word (or, like now, pop into a room) and the Holy Spirit speaks, to show me why the ways of the world (laboring to earn salvation) ain't gonna work.

Hi Ditto, I think you must know some thing we don't know? could
you share, or would we Icon11. hope every thing is ok with you and yours. Parsonsmom

It's just that we (His people) already know, from the Word, that works of righteousness will garner nothing. Only (make that ONLY His blood - hallelujah) will open the door.

(p.s. Yes, everything is okay, with me and mine....Thank you for caring.)
