As some of you know, a great deal of the members here were once members of the now extinct Global Christian Network. It was a wonderful fellowship where folks from all over the world came to discuss and share testamonies. I am trying to get in touch with the owners of the old domain for GCN which was http://gcnhome.com to see if we can aquire this domain for the new section of this ministry called The Glory Christian Network at http://parsonscorner.org/gcnhome

This section of the ministry will probably contain a multi room chat, Christian search engine, free personal home pages, & many other other resources.

Prayers are needed as this has turned out to be a great task. I even blew up the PCIM DataBase trying to build it last night. I know it is the right "Next" course of action for our ministry here because of the energy and drive the Holy Spirit is giving me in this matter. If any of you would like to contribute to this effort we need the following:

3 articles (1000 words or more) by different authors describing the Old GCN and what we would hope to see in this new Glory Christian Network. These will be seeded around the internet for the search engines to index and improve the entry page's ranking on those engines. One would be placed at http://parsonscorner.org/interest/ and all will be linked from http://receivedtext.org, http://houseplandrafting101.com, http://draftingservice.us, http://parsonscorner.8m.com, http://homedesign.8m.com, & http://customhouseplans.8m.com.

Anyone with a home page to place a link to http://parsonscorner.org/gcnhome.

If you know the whereabouts of "any" former GCN'ers, let them know what we are trying to do here so they can spread the word too...

You should start seeing some changes now in the chat software. ie, colors and smilies... Still working in the program to make it stable as a standalone again.

All external links from the board should now lead to the GCNhome entry page. Still got alot of work to do but glad to see it get this far. Still no word from the ones who own the gcnhome.com domain... Keep praying.

The brethren from the Baptist Zone Forums (http://www.baptistzone.com/forums) are considering joining up with us in the management and promotion of GCN. I love it when God's people work together.

There is about 50% more that has to be done before the site is fully operational including the domain name. If we can't get gcnhome.com we will probably have to settle for gcnhome.net. We'll see. Prayers are still needed as well as suggestions on the website. Would you all please critique (scope out) the site and let me know what you think is missing? http://parsonscorner.org/gcnhome/

Most everything is ready except the domain and optimizing the images to cut down on the bandwidth usage. Optimizing will probably take about to days to accomplish.

Still haven't gotten any suggestions from you folks on the look and feel of the site...

Tim , I think the site looks real good ! I am getting better at navigating around it now . Surely do appreciate the work you have done ..looking forward to our friends from the other forum joining us .

The site looks good Tim.

We will be helping in the promotion of GCN Chat. I have added a GCN Chat link to our global navigation menu and I will make an announcement when GCN is launched. I am in the process of building a directory, once complete I will add a GCN Chat feature link.

We now have http://gcnhome.net as our domain name for the chat praise God. I thank all of you for the help so far. We aren't there yet but will be soon.
