These cookies are sold (or WERE sold) by the Peanut Shack's in the malls . They were charging 65 cents each for these in the 80's . I bought one and copied the recipe .

I have shared it with folks wherever I have lived , so you might have it already , but they are delicious and easy .
Take Ritz crackers and put a generous amount of peanut butter between two ..make up a bunch , or enlist the help of someone to make the "sandwiches " while you melt the chocolate .
Melt chocolate in microwave (I make some cookies with white and some with semi-sweet chocolate chips ) While melting chocolate check at 30 second intervals to be sure it is not burning . I don't stir mine til it feels soft when I touch the top .
When chocolate is completely melted , remove to work surface . Using tongs start dipping the crackers . Place on waxed paper , sprinkle tops with nuts ( I like crushed pecans ) til completely cooled .
When cool remove from waxed paper and place in cupcake foils . These look so pretty in a nice tin , alternating the chocolate and the white . This makes a gift that will get rave reviews . I always tried to take these to the luncheons and the youth group get-to-gethers .
Alternative decorating ideas ...instead of the nuts , drizzle a bit of white chocolate over the dark and a bit of the dark over the white or use chocolate curls (made by using a vegetable peeler and a plain chocolate bar )
I also make Ritz mints (Martha Stewart had someone on her show doing these last week ) Sara has been doing them for YEARS ..
Buy creme de menthe chips at Kroger or mint flavored chocolate chips at Michaels or any craft shop . Melt same as above and dip SINGLE Ritz crackers . Fast and easy ..Delicious !! Kids love to help with all of these .

Takes about 30 minutes with another adult , takes only ..oh ...bout an hour and a half with the kids helping..
